sewing Coco number two: the grey and mustard one
Hellooooo
I am back for a bit of a catch up
Did anyone notice its been very quiet on ‘ldj’ lately?
I am a black or white girl….therefore if I am involved in something I will put my heart and soul into it.
This means I give it ‘my all’ and there is none left over for other things like blogging, or ironing.
Plenty left over for sewing!!
So whilst I have been busy doing ‘other ‘things, I still managed to sew.
I have been sewing Coco’s
The Coco pattern is of course from the marvellous Tilly and the buttons
My total adds up to four so far…this is the story behind Number Two.
A long, long time ago, I bought some vintage french ric-rac. I keep it wrapped around this picture.
I had no idea what it was going to be used for.
Until now and coco #2!
I bought grey stretchy fabric and knew immediately that the mustard ric-rac would be a perfect contrast trim.
I set to work,
(for the sharp eyed amongst you, you may have noticed I sew my pockets double, unlike Tilly’s instructions)
…gradually a garment began to emerge…
I had a neck….
with a label (of course)
Finally I had a tunic dress….
with two pockets to keep my phone and my camera handy….
Pockets are a ‘must have’ these days don’t you think!!
Something new to wear….Hurrah!
A peep at number 3 and 4….those are for another day…
If you are interested you can find Coco Number one here
Have you made a coco yet?
I can highly recommend it to all from beginners to experts!!
bestest as ever to you all
Ps I’m a bit proud at overcoming my shyness and showing you my whole self again.
I have an aversion to ‘selfie’s’ but needs must when it comes to showing a garment in real life!!
