I have not had as much fun and relaxation on my machine for a long time. I have joined the stitched Journal project I decided to let go, be messy, instinctive and free. Quite hard for me! I certainly achieved that, this was the result . . .
The Stitched Journal Daffodils.
February has been good to me. I am counting my blessings. I wanted to include my feelings of hope and joy and childlike fun in my stitched journal with no rules. I was very brave, I cut and stitched and free-styled and appliqued and patched to my hearts content. (Do you know how hard it is to write with your sewing machine?)
It may be messy, it may be lopsided but I am happy with it. The 12 year old summed it up ” Mum that looks like a 3 year old did it” but he could read the writing and he knew they were daffodils! He wasn’t sure about the Wordsworth quote though!
