It has been a busy but fun week, “real work” things happening.
We had a production on, so I was at work in the evenings.
I am tired but I know I am lucky …I love my job!
Therefore not much time for blogging, crocheting or sewing but I managed a few bits….
My mystery project is a step further being finished….
The postie brought me the beginnings of another project….
he also brought me some new wrapping paper from a shop called 1973
Its so cheerful and colourful I want to get more and use it as wallpaper!
I also bought a calender
(I am a bit late with the calendar purchase this year!)
But worth waiting for ….
This morning we were up early to get to the local market, for a treasure rummage.
The talented other half got some fab bits; a large1950’s mirror, an industrial light and some 1950’s wooden legs for future projects…
I came home with only two books but I love them…
and….
Published in 1956.
It has fascinating advice for us girls on what to do in winter.
Like learning table tennis and puppetry.
I particularly like the advice on decorating a room of one’s own…..
look the wardrobe has space for hats and hat stands…wonderful.
The toast catalogue arrived, how beautiful is the photography and styling of this little book?
I have highlighted a dress I would like for the summer…I plan on making similar. what do you think?
…and of course I finished my first ever shawl….the post is here
Now planning next week…busy busy,busy
How has your week been…?
