I sewed New Look 6145.. and added pockets

I have finally finished my dress….I used a New look pattern no. 6145

I added extras: pockets and cuff’s to the sleeves.

Because I need pockets in everything these days! Don’t you?

I used a medium thick wool suiting fabric, so it should be comfy and warm to wear?

I will also be wearing boots and thick woolly tights with it, just

to make sure.

Now I have to admit to doing something very silly! 

I accidently deleted all the ‘before and during’ photos (and I had even documented how I added the pockets…sorry)

Now the only photos left are the after ones.

Quick pattern review…..

….this pattern has an ‘easy’  label. 

However I would warn that it is not for first time beginners.

There are set in sleeves, invisible zips, a collar and four darts and a back hem opening!

Yes, ‘easy’ if you know how, but if you have never tried these methods, I would suggest not starting with this pattern?

I found it quick to make, and nicely cut.

I have not worn the dress yet, planning to this weekend.

But I do want to make it again…a positive sign.

Next make is planned….!
