3/7 that is 3 shillings and 7d is it not?
Can you imagine paying 22 pence for a pattern? when they all cost well over 7 pounds now…..I digress and I have not started yet!
….. on with the post…….
A blogger of the ‘eco’ kind, continually requested to see my latest sewing project completed ….
Here it is….
a 1960’s coat from this pattern.
Vintage patterns are so very awkward to sew from…they have hardly any detailed instructions and nothing at all printed on the pattern pieces, just holes punched out!!
I managed, trooper that I am….??
and then…..
I even added a lovely slinky pink satin lining, that was hellish to handle…
and then…..ric-rac, because we all love it don’t we?
….it trimmed the top of my patch pockets….that were also lined, please take note!
I used the fabric that I bought from the boot fair a couple of weeks ago…..over 6m of Sandersons ‘bed of roses’
and the fabric cost?
….only six British pounds.
It took longer than anticipated because I have had that sickness lurgy.
You know, the one that goes…Blurrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhh ? (down the toilet)
So, feeling better today than I have all week….
Ethel this is for you, and I do so hope you are paying attention!
Because I have fallen slightly behind and have so so much ‘ocurring’ I will be taking a little blogging break for now.
I will be back in July to celebrate my one year Blog anniversary with you and have a giveaway and games and stuff….
So byeee for now and bestest as ever to you all….take care!
